Little Nairobi

Little Nairobi is the untold stories of gentrification and local police corruption from the marginalized, black and brown residents in Silicon Valley’s million dollar ghetto. Under the context of the city of East Palo Alto being founded by and rooted in the black power movement.

Bob Hoover and Omowale Satterwhite were instrumental in providing historical elements and context for the film. We are grateful for all of our elders who fought for us and brought us to this point where we are at today.

This film centers the untold stories of Black and Brown residents of East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and the police corruption that targets the under class populations primarily.
